Previously, Trump – US president – banned Huawei’s to buy products from America. The reason behind this ban on Huawei was a charge on them that they have been involved in illegal activities which were against US security laws. This impacted all of the Huawei’s upcoming smartphones as Huawei buys OS from Google which is a US company. Google stopped OS and all other play store apps updates for Huawei’s handsets.

Huawei was not surprised with the decision and claimed ‘We were already preparing for this situation’. Huawei expressed that they can survive without Android and its apps. Therefore, they announced their own better and more advanced smartphone operating system namely HarmonyOS or HongMeng for their new devices.
